Blue Lucy Media are pleased to provide free limited period trials of the Miura products so that users can fully evaluate the product set in their own working environment. Fill in your details below and we will mail the installer packages to you. Fields marked with * are mandatory.

Please note that we generally do not provide trial licences to requests from webmail accounts such as hotmail, yahoo or gmail so please use your business email address or provide information as to your intended application. Not all products are available for trial.

Is the software all that I need to begin the trial?

Hardware
For Miura Acquisition and Miura Fulfilment functionality a BlackMagic Video card is required - currently the cards from the Decklink range (including Decklink SDI) devices are supported. These are available from BlackMagic here, or can be supplied direct from BLM.

You will also need a suitable computer on which to install a run the software. Please refer to the supported / recommended hardware pages at this website for optimum performance, but most modern computers will run the services and client applications without issue – the software will advise if there is a problem!

Operating System
The client applications of Acquisition, Production and Fulfilment will run on all versions of Windows, XP SP3 and later. The Tailor and Transcode services will also run on all versions of Windows including Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2008R2 but the Ingest and Layback services must run on Windows Server 2008 R2.

Is the trial software the same as the release software?

Yes, where possible the trial software issued is the same as the current GA release software in terms of functionality although as we do not provide trials for the (BLMA) asset management system and as such the MAM functionality is disabled but visible in the client applications which run in a complete but 'standalone' mode.
