Transcode

The BLM Transcode service is a file format conversion engine providing file-to-file content transcoding services for applications where high quality and speed of execution is paramount. Designed for use in the delivery chain of typical media workflow, the BLM Transcode provides the highest possible image quality for all common essence and container formats. The gamut of file formats, from A to Z, are supported and the pluggable architecture means that new CODECS may be added with ease in the future.

Controlled through its web services interface the Transcode Service performs file transcode and workflow functions under the control of the Miura Fulfilment client application; Although it has been designed to be easily integrated into existing workflows through the web service interface or via simple watch-folder. When set as a watch-folder deployment rules-based workflows may be constructed which are triggered by the source essence format type providing maximum efficiency for repetitive and unattended functions. Job status reporting is provided through the web service interface for both system-orchestrated and watch-folder initiated jobs.
