The Miura suite provides intuitive and unified user interfaces created by interface design specialists for operators (not by engineers for engineers) enabling simplified technical operations and streamlined business processes. Miura covers the range of functional operations of Acquisition, Production and Fulfilment.
Miura Acquisition provides a simple tabbed navigation user interface enabling operators to ingest media content. It provides frame accurate tape logging and first pass metadata capture including tape number and name to create a unique reference to the tape source material.
Using the Miura Logger operators may build up a schedule of content to be ingested from a source tape delineated by time-code. Acquisition allows users to set up a linear ingest (tape to file digitisation) using encoding profiles encompassing all the encoding parameters for file encode such as CODEC type and bit rate.
Operationally Acquisition utilises the BLM Ingest service for video tape operations and baseband ingest and the Blue Lucy Asset Manager (BLAM) for metadata management. Acquisition also supports live and scheduled ingest again using the BLM Ingest Service.
For material already in the file domain Acquisition provides for the file based import of digital assets.
The BLM suite of products provides intuitive and unified user interfaces created by interface design specialists for operators (not by engineers for engineers) which simplify technical operations and streamline business processes.
BLM offers a step change in the price point and cost model for broadcast and media video production tools challenging the accepted methodologies and opening the way for media organisations to benefit from the cost savings enjoyed by the broader IT industry.
The BLM believes that low costs need not compromise quality; Miura tools and services offer the highest quality standards of video acquisition and processing in all current formats for production, broadcast, VOD and web delivery. The tools provide compliance with all current broadcast standards, including MXF Operational Practices.
Unlike the proprietary systems of the past the BLM tools are design to provide an on-demand service orientated architecture and using open standards for messaging accessing SOAP and REST APIs when enables rapid integration with other systems.
