Miura and variants are a range of software based tools from Blue Lucy Media (BLM) which represent the new order in broadcast and professional video software applications. Miura – the linear content ingester is a complete client / server based video and audio ingester which offers the highest standard in linear-to-file based content acquisition for both SD and HD source material. Complementing Miura is Miura LP – a layback tool for material layback to tape or file to stream based playback for studio play-in. Miura SV is a tape logging tool which allows users to log tape content and create an ingest schedule (rather like an EDL) and annotate with metadata using the same user interface environment as a full Miura.

The intuitive and unified user interfaces allow operators to control the Miura tools from anywhere on the network – crucially away from that noisy machine room! With little training users may be logging or batch ingesting tape based content to file within a few minutes of using the instinctive client.

The Miura suite of tools are robust Windows Service applications, for the server side components, completed by .NET thin client and browser based control applications.
