Blue Lucy Media (BLM) and Disk Archive Corporation (DAC) have come together to provide a complete archive revival solution enabling content owners to preserve fragile assets and bring their archive content to life with minimal investment.

One of the greatest legacy assets of more than 60 years of television broadcasting is the content archive. Between them broadcasters and other content producers have vast archives of content languishing in tape vaults; some of which has more than sentimental value and if recovered could be a source of significant new revenue. The cost and complexity of bringing this legacy content into the file domain - where it may be repackaged for straightforward sale (syndication) or reused within new productions has typically been seen as prohibitive. The combined solution will be on show at IBC next month and will include the core functions required to digitise, catalogue and deliver finished material so that you may be archive content to begin deriving revenue. BLM are at 7F04 in Hall 7.
